Online Instructions

Once registered at MTC for an online course, click on the numbered steps below to complete them all:

Step 1. Account Information and Check Browser

Your courses will automatically show up in your account 4 days prior to the course start date.
Username = MyMTC Username
Password = MyMTC Password
Click here to check your browser to ensure requirements are met.

Step 2. Take the Student Readiness for Online Courses Assessment

Click here to open the SROC Assessment

Login with your MyMTC Username and Password.

This assessment is required before starting online/hybrid courses.

Plan about 15 minutes for the assessment.

Step 3. Read and complete orientation.
  • Go to the MTC Course Search.
  • Orientation Information: Click for Online/Hybrid courses through MTC course search. Uncheck 'Show only open sections' option.

NOTE: Orientations often occur prior to the start date for the semester.

Step 4. Navigating the Online Learning System
Step 5. To Get to Your Class

Go to midlandstech.edu/onlinelearning and click "Desire2Learn" button.

Use your username and password.
