Security on the Internet - A subject much too close to home for many of us!

10:00 AM Welcome and Association Business John Breidling

10:15 AM Special Agent Amanda Simmons with SLED provided an overview of the Computer Crime Center, the types of high tech investigations that are handled through the center, and information relating to typical intrusion investigations that SLED has handled.

11:00 AM Jim McDougal of the State CIO office discussed the OWASP (Open Web Application Security Project) top ten with special emphasis on Cross-Site scripting and SQL injection.

12:00 pm to 1:30 pm Lunch

1:30 PM Peggy Gurley with the FBI talked on Federal Law and Computer Crimes.

2:30 PM George Laiacona with Aiken County spoke on Intrusion Detection Systems (IDS) and the Open Source IDS SNORT (for more information: http://www.snort.org/).
