General Meeting held Feb. 14, 2007
The last Webmasters' meeting was held February 14th at the Midlands' Tech Northeast Campus at 10:00 a.m. http://www.midlandstech.edu/askmtc/northeastmap.html
The Program contained:
Social Networking: Linking Government and Citizens together
Amanda Stone, Shae Tetterton, and Paul Gowder
We took a look at several online social networking tools that you can use to promote government services to the public and foster communication. We learned about low cost technologies such as Flickr, Del.icio.us, podcasting, instant messaging, blogging and more.
Meeting Handouts and Presentations: (thank you presentors)
Amanda also pointed us to freeware and sharware to help us reach our audiences better. This was an excellent meeting and we're really looking forward to seeing you all at the next one! More details to follow.
